Het gaat om een moeizame aanpassing aan de bewegingen van het water.<\/p>\n<p>De hersenen ontvangen informatie via verschillende lichamelijke factoren:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Het evenwichtsorgaan in het binnenoor geeft de positie aan van het hoofd, en dus van het lichaam.<\/li>\n<li>De ogen geven visuele referentiepunten aan.<\/li>\n<li>De voetzolen geven informatie door over de stabiliteit van het lichaam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>De deining op het water zorgt voor hiaten tussen de informatie afkomstig van het evenwichtsorgaan enerzijds en de visuele prikkels anderzijds. Het brein ontvangt dus tegenstrijdige aanwijzingen met zeeziekte als gevolg.<\/p>\n<p>De symptomen van zeeziekte zijn dezelfde als die van reisziekte. Alles begint met een onbehaaglijk gevoel, slaperigheid, geeuwen en zelfs hoofdpijn. Het meest getroffen zijn kinderen, zwangere vrouwen en ouderen. Hier vind je enkele tips om zeeziekte te voorkomen en volop te genieten van je zeereis.<\/p>\n<h3>De vijf belangrijkste tips:<\/h3>\n<p>Goed gekend onder matrozen zijn de vijf volgende aandachtspunten om te voorkomen dat je zeeziek wordt:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Honger: tijden een zeereis helpt een volle maag om zeeziekte te voorkomen.<\/li>\n<li>Koude: koude werkt zeeziekte in de hand. Kleed je dus warm aan.<\/li>\n<li>Vermoeidheid: slaap \u2018s nachts en houd een si\u00ebsta.<\/li>\n<li>Schrik: angst kan je verlammen en je een benauwd gevoel geven op zee.<\/li>\n<li>Dorst: regelmatige hydratatie is heel belangrijk.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Het is ook aanbevolen om hitte en gesloten ruimtes te vermijden. Blijf zoveel mogelijk in de open lucht en kijk naar de zee.<\/p>\n<h3>Zeeziekte behandelen:<\/h3>\n<p>Er bestaan verschillende manieren om zeeziekte te behandelen.
